Originally it was a double-festival , called Name_conferral `` Torhout-Werchter '' , with two festival Social_event areas at different sites in Belgium : one in Werchter and one in Torhout .

In 1999 , the festival Social_event dropped Motion_directional the Torhout site and since then has taken place Process_start only in Werchter .

The campsites are located along the three main entrance roads into Werchter ( from Haacht , Aarschot and Leuven ) , most of them within 1 kilometer of the festival site , but some located as far as 3 kilometers away .

It is the second largest music festival Social_event in Belgium after Rock Werchter , with an attendance rate of 180,000 over the course of the event in 2009 .
