In other areas like Andoeuk Hep district , peasants faced Confronting_problem harsh conditions due to the unsustainability and unproductivity of the cotton industry –due to high cost of labour and materials in intensive cotton cultivation , peasants cultivated large areas of land with low yields per hectare .
