In all , 11.5 percent of Syria ’s population has been wounded or killed since 2011 , according to the SCPR analysis .
Of those , 293 were carried out by government forces and 16 were conducted by Russian warplanes , it said . Hospitals in eastern Aleppo have been overwhelmed with casualties since the start of a government offensive last week after the collapse of a cease - fire .
